Students from 9th to 12th Grade who are enrolled in public, Private, Or Parochial High Schools in the U.S. participated in this contest. Young American Creative Patriotic Art Contest 2024 Winners
The Annual Contest Bengan in 1979 to recognize up-and-coming artists and encourage patriotism in Youth. The VFW National Auxiliary is pleased to present this national Scholarship to assist students who wish to further their education. VFW Auxiliary Scholarship Recognizes young artists and Encourages patriotism in Youth. More than 2,500 Students submitted entries and a total of $33,000 in national Scholarships was awarded to 13 Students in 2023.
VFW Auxiliary Young American Creative Patriotic Art Contest 2024 Eligibility Criteria
Students in Grades 9-12 by the March 31 Deadlin, are enrolled in a public, Private, parochial, Or home School program in the United States, its territories, and Possessions or dependents of U.S Military or Civilian personnel in Overseas schools.
- Students must be lawful permanent residents or have applied for permanent Resident
- Students do not have to be Related to a VFW or VFW Auxiliary membership to participate.
- The age limit is 12-19.
VFW Auxiliary Young American Art Scholarship Selection Process:
Entries will be Judged on the origin of the Concept, presentation, and patriotism Expressed, contest of how it relates to patriotism and clarity of ideas, design Technique, total Impact of Work, etc. The winner will be selected based on the artwork they submit.

- Second Place – $7,500
