What is Aswesuma Welfare Benefit Program 2022-2023: President Ranil Wickremesinghe Has Given Directives to Initiate “Aswesuma Welfare Benefit Payment Scheme.
The Aswesuma Welfare Benefit Payment Scheme For the Poor & Vulnerable Peoples Will be Effective From 1st July 2023.
The Scheme is Founded By the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank to Provide Direct Financial Relief to Low-Income Families Entitled to Categories Identified Under Samurdhi ; Kidney, Elderly, Disabilities As Well as those Who are on the Waiting list For Each of these Categories.
The Welfare Benefits Act No 42 of 2002 through the WBB, Lays Out the Process to Establish a Transparent Selection Process to Identity Social Welfare Recipients, With Provisions for the Termination of Such Benefits to Underserving Recipients. In July, President Ranil Wickremasinghe Appointed the WBB
