Serowe College of Education Admission 2026 In DIPLOMA IN PRIMARY EDUCATION

Applicants for this programme are required to take ALL fundamental and core subjects, select an area of specialisation (elective), and in addition, choose two (2) option subjects.

At Year two (2), learners are expected to continue with fundamental subjects and select an area of specialization from any one (1) of the following strands:

• Strand 1: Mathematics and Science
• Strand 2: English and Setswana
• Strand 3: Social Studies and Religious Education
• Strand 4: Home Economics and Agriculture
  

In addition, learners are expected to select any two (2) Optional Subjects from Physical Education, Music and Art, Craft & Design.

Serowe College of Education 2026 Admission Entry Requirements:

Category 1: Applicants with BGCSE, NCQF Certificate Level 4 or its equivalent with a minimum of 28 points. All applicants must have at least a D in English and a pass in an area of specialisation.

Category 2: Applicants under Orphan and Vulnerable Children (OVC) and those with Special Educational Needs (SEN) must have a minimum of 26 points with at least an E in English.

Applicants with work experience in the relevant area will be considered through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) in accordance with applicable policies.

• Applicants who do not meet the above requirements will not be considered.
• Meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee admission into the college.
• Local applicants who have received admission letters will only be registered on submission of proof of sponsorship and/or receipt of semester full payment of P 3686.65 on-campus and P 3196.50 off-campus. Annual fees are P7373.30 on- campus and P 6393.00 off-campus.
• Local applicants who have received admission letters are encouraged to apply for government sponsorship with the Department of Tertiary Education Financing (DTEF).
