Ministry of Education, Ethiopia every year conducts grade 6, Grade 8, Grade 10 & grade 12 examinations. This year, lakhs of students appeared for the Primary and Secondary examinations in all regions of Ethiopia. The Secondary Education certificate examination is national examination where pupils sit at the end of their final year.
About EGSECE (Ethiopian General Secondary Education Certificate Examination)
Before 2021 , Students Finished lower Secondary Education (General Secondary Education) with exams for an EGSEC. They took their exams via the NEAEA. Candidates who are interested to study in Grade 10 EGSECE Studies must have primary school leaving certificate which, before 2025, was the diploma students received after completing primary education. After completion of Grade 10 Ethiopian General Secondary Education certificate Examination Issued by the NEAEA Officials.
Duration: 2 Years (Grade 9 & Grade 10)
Content: Usually 9 exam subjects, sometimes 10. Students took exams in the following subjects.
- Amharic
- Biology
- chemistry
- Civics
- English
- geography
- history
- mathematics
- Physics
- In addition, students should take their native language as the 10th exam subject, such as Afan Oromo.

- Go to the home section
- Select the check result and enter the registration number and first name
- Click on the check result or complaint option(for errors and mistakes)
