About National Vocational Qualification – NVQ

Under the Higher Educational System in Sri Lanka, Bachelor’s degrees, in arts, Science, commerce, and all other areas are offered under the Purview of the UGC (University Grants Commission). In A/L Examination, over 2,00,000 students and in O/L Examination over 1,00,000 students drop out each year. These students are unable to find a proper channel to acquire higher-level Qualifications or gain relevant experience to enter the Job Market.

The National Vocational Qualification -NVQ Framework is a Seven-level Qualification Framework. A Qualification is generally a package of Competency units to suit requirements in a particular position in the labor market.

As a result, to overcome the issues discussed above, the Territory and Vocational Education Commission -TVEC has taken the necessary steps to introduce the national Vocational Qualification NVQ System with 7 Levels. However, NVQ Level 7 is equivalent to a bachelor’s degree Qualification.

• the Home Page of the National Vocational Qualification Appears on the Screen
• Now find the Main Menu Section
• press on it and Select the examination section
• Later, candidates can find the result section and Click on it.
• Enter your NIC Number And hit on the Search button
• Your NVQ National Vocational Qualification TVEC Knowledge Assessment Result will be displayed
• check the results and download them.
