The recovery plan for English language was developed by the Department of English of the National Institute of Education as a Practical pathway to address the learning loss Resulting from the school closure due to transportation issues. As we know the National Institute of Education (NIE), Sri Lanka is the prime institute in the country Responsible for providing leadership for the development of General Education with Quality & Equity. Now Recently NIE Sri Lanka introduced the New Recovery plan for Learning Loss Year 2025.

Recovery Plan for Learning Loss 2025 Year English Medium
When deciding the most essential competency levels that should be included in the recovery plan, minimum learning levels that have
been identified for each grade were taken into consideration.
In addition, when implementing this recovery plan in classrooms, the teachers of English are expected to pay attention to following the best
possible methods to assist the students to master all the clustered competency levels to make this effort successful.

As per the Latest information, out of the 47 days allocated for the first term from have been opened only for 21-29 days. Hence, as it was informed that the school will be open only for 3 days per week, the plan was prepared to cover the work within 26 weeks.
