Nepal election results 2079 election.gov.np: The counting of local level election results of Nepal 2079 is going on. The Nepali Congress has taken the lead till now. The election happened on Friday. A total of 17733723 voters cast their vote on Friday. The citizens will elect 35221 at local levels for several positions in the rural area and urban areas.
There are 10756 polling stations and 21955 polling centres established by the election commission for the smooth conduct of the election. 145011 candidates from different political parties and independent candidates contest the election. Out of that, 145011, 89313 are male candidates, and 55698 are female candidates.
This election will elect candidates in a total of 753 places. Out of that, 753 460 are village municipalities, 276 are municipalities, 11 are sub-metropolitan cities, and 6 are metropolitan cities.

In the Mayor/chairperson election Nepali Congress has won 148 seats and leads in 160 seats. In the second position, CPN-UML has won 98 seats and leads in 95 seats. The Maoist Centre has won 72 seats and leads in 45 seats is at 3rd position. The other independent parties have won 8 seats and lead in 24 seats. The CPN (unified socialist) has won 4 seats and leads in 15 seats. Janta Samajwadi party has won 3 seats and leads in 29 seats.
In the vice-chairperson/ deputy mayor election, the Nepali Congress is leading. They have won 144 seats and lead in 138 seats. The CPN UML has won 99 seats and leads in 120 seats. The Maoist Centre has won 72 seats and leads in 56 seats.
In the Pokhra Mayor election, Dhana Raj Acharya of CPN (unified Socialist) leads 10157 votes.

Bagmati is one of the biggest Pradesh in Nepal. The total population of Bagmati Pradesh is 6084042 and 119 local units. There are three metropolitans, one sub-metropolitan, 41 municipalities and 74 village councils in Bagmati Pradesh. Out of those, Kathamandu and Sindhupalchowk are the important ones.

Kathmandu district has a total population of 2017532. There are 11 local units, one metropolitan and ten municipalities in Kathamandu. Khageswari Manohara, Kirtipur, Gokarneshwor, Chandragiri, Tokha, Tarakeshor, Dakshinkali, Nagarjun, Budhanilakantha and Shankarapur are the municipalities or rural municipalities of Kathamandu district. In the mayor/chairperson election of Kathmandu, the Nepali Congress party has already won in seats and has led in 4 seats. The parties like CPN-UML, Maoist Centre, CPN, Janta Samajwadi party and Loktantrit Samajwadi party have failed to win a single heart. But independent candidates and CPN-UML candidates maintain the lead in 2 and 1 centre, respectively.

In the Kathmandu Deputy Mayor election, Sunita Dangol of CPN-UML took the comfortable lead with 10477 votes. Rameshwar Shrestha of CPN ( Unified Socialist) is in second place with 3048 votes.
Kageshowri Manohara Municipality
In the Mayor election, Upendra Karki of the Nepali Congress is at the top position with 3699. In 2nd position was Ram Sharan Dhungana of CPN-UML with 3187 votes. He is very close to Karki.
In the Deputy Mayor election, Shanta Thapa of CPN-UML leads with 1131 votes, while Bhola Chapagain ranks second with 541 votes of the Maoist centre.
In the Mayor’s election, Rajkumar Nakarmi comfortably won the election with 9043 votes by beating Kesh Ratna Bajracharya, who got 5507 votes.
In the Deputy Mayor election, Subha Laxmi Shakya won the election with 8865 votes. She beat Bindu Maharjan of CPN-UML.
Deepak Kumar Rimal of Nepali Congress leads with 5556 votes in the mayor election, and Uddhav Bista of CPN-UML is in 2nd position with 5353 votes. He is giving a tough fight to Deepak Rimal.
Sannani Lama of CPN-UML leads with 5303 votes in the Deputy mayor election.
In the mayor election, Krishna Hari Maharjan of Nepali congress won the election comfortably with 11988 votes beating Rameshwor Bohara of CPN-UML.
In the Deputy Mayor election, Sreejana Burlakoti won the election with 10786 votes.
Mohan Bahadur Basnet of Nepali Congress leads with 4098 votes in the mayor election. Nandan Hari Gautam is in 2nd place with 3404 votes.
Sushila Adhikari of CPN-UML leads with 3429 votes in the deputy mayor election.

Anita Lama of CPN-UML leads with 8637 votes in the deputy Mayor election.
Ramesh Napit of Rashtriya Prajatantra Party has taken the lead with 3703 votes. Laxmi Prasad Shrestha of CPN is not far behind. He is at 3485 votes.
In the deputy Mayor election, Samita Shrestha of the Nepali Congress leads with 5534 votes.
Sindhupalchok election result
The total population of Sindhupalchowk is 262852. Out of those, 129395 are male, and 133457 are females. There are 12 local units, three municipalities, nine village councils and three municipalities.
Nepali Congress has won 4 seats while leading in one seat in the mayor/chairperson election. The Maoist centre is in second place. They have won 2 seats and currently leading in 2 seats. The CPN-UML is in 3rd place, has won one seat and leads in 2 seats.
In the deputy mayor election, the Nepali Congress has won 5 seats and leads in 2 seats. In the second position, CPN-UML has won 1 seat and leads in 2 seats. CPN (unified socialist) has won 1 seat. The Maoist Centre party has taken the lead in only one seat.
Indrawati Rural Municipality
In the chairperson election, Jhamka Nath Nepal of CPN-UML won the election with 7127 votes. Bikash Lama of the Nepali Congress is in the second position with 6168 votes.
In the vice-chairperson election, Shovana Tamang of CPN-UML beat Daya Kumari Mishra of Nepali congress by just 43 votes.
Chautara Sangachowkgadhi Municipality
In the Mayor’s election, Krishna Prasad Sapkota of the Maoist centre won the election with 11072 votes. She beat Indra Bahadur Nepal comfortably by 6785 votes.
Sita Thapa of CPN (unite Socialist) won the vice mayor election with 9726 votes.
