NCHE Results 2026: The National Council for Higher Education is Expected to declare the Public Universities Selection Results for the 2025/2026 Academic Year Very Soon. Although, there’s no specific date published, results are typically published on the NCHE Web Portal. NCHE has been coordinating the selection of students into public universities since 2004, bringing the institutions together to run a centralised process. This has helped eliminate challenges such as multiple admissions for the same students, which occurred when each university conducted its own independent selection, among others.

Note:  NCHE does not directly select candidates for public universities. The selection process is carried out by the respective universities through their Selection Committees, guided by their institutional Acts.

The 2025/2026 National Council For Higher Education Malawi Public University Selection Results are not yet announced by the officials. However, the application period was extended to 7^th February, 2026. Once approved by the 06 Public Universities, results will be declared on the NCHE Official website and NCHE Facebook Page. The 6 public universities are

 Kamuzu University of Health Sciences (KUHeS), Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR), Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences (MUBAS), Malawi University of Science and Technology (MUST), Mzuzu University (MZUNI) and University of Malawi (UNIMA).

The Malawi Public University Selection Lists Will be Prepared and Will be Ready to release on the Basis of Raw Scores. Only Students Who are Qualified in the Selection of the Public University Malawi Will be Considered for the Final Round of the Selection. Previously, each university conducted its own selection process, which resulted in several issues. For instance, few candidates were selected into multiple public universities, depriving other deserving students of a fair chance for selection. Moreover, students were burdened with the need to pay for separate applications to each university, leading to significant financial strain.
