THE MALAWI NATIONAL EXAMINATIONS BOARD MANEB Results Update

(DATE: 15TH AUGUST, 2026)

The Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB) has published the 2026 Primary School Leaving Certificate of Education (PSLCE) and Junior Certificate of Education (JCE) examination results today.

PRIMARY SCHOOL LEAVING CERTIFICATE OF EDUCATION EXAMINATION RESULTS

For a candidate to pass the PSLCE examination he/she must obtain passes in Five subjects including English.

Out of the 245,048 students who sat for this examination, 198,903 have passed. This represents 81.17% pass rate.

Out of the 118,511 male students who sat for this examination, 101,548 have passed. The represents 85.69% pass rate.

 Out of the 126,537 female students who sat for this examination, 97,355 have passed. This represents 76.94% pass rate.

Out of the 2,726 Special Needs Education (SNE) candidates who sat for this examination, 1,949 have passed. This represents 71.50% pass rate.

 JUNIOR CERTIFICATE OF EDUCATION EXAMINATION RESULTS

For a candidate to pass the Junior Certificate of Education (JCE) examinations he/she must obtain Passes in at least six subjects including English.

Out of the 154,880 applicants who sat for this examination, 125,777 have passed. This represents 81.21% pass rate.

Out of the 75,888 male students who sat for this examination, 63,774 have passed. This represents 84.04% pass rate.

Out of the 78,992 female students who sat for this examination, 62,003 have passed. This represents 78.49% pass rate.

Out of the 978 Special Needs Education (SNE) candidates who sat for this examination, 806 have passed. This represents 82.41% pass rate.

Out of the 480 male SNE candidates who sat for this examination, 396 have passed. This represents 82.50% pass rate.
