As per the Recent IOC Lanka News the Government of Sri Lanka, Minister Kanchana Wijesekera has decided to implement a token system dedicated to filling Stations to supply fuel for those waiting in Queues to obtain Petrol and Diesel, Power, and Energy. He also said motorists will be informed via phone when their turn is ready.
IOC Lanka stated that various irregularities in the distribution of files at Certain filling stations have also been reported. Every year, the National Audit Office mentions that only fuel distribution is made by the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation.

With no new fuel shipment in sight any time soon, the country will come to a complete standstill from this week, as even Public transportation. As per the report of CPC (Ceylon petroleum Corporation) Sri Lanka has run out of fuel as only 1100 tones of petrol and 7500 tonnes of diesel. where the remaining amount is not even sufficient to last the country for a day. the first preference will be given the essential services for the little stocks of fuel that are left.

India IOC is a bulk purchaser of Fuel from the global market with Attractive discounts. There is a proposal in the roadmap worked out by the Sri Lankan Envoy to new Delhi.

According to Official IOC Lanka Sources, Sri Lanka has now aspired to purchase four Shipments of fuel from India instead of on Credit. Initially, A shipment of diesel will be dispatched. Afterwards, petrol will be sent depending on the requirements.
