According to the official news of the department, only 20,000 students will be eligible for the scholarship funds. This means only these students will get the funds. And here, 250 students will be of special needs.

The Grade 5 Scholarship examination 2021 was held by the Department of Examination on 22nd January 2022. 

All the students of various districts have participated in the examination and have got results accordingly. 

The cut off marks of Sinhala Medium in Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara, Kandy, Matale, Galle, Matara, Kurunegala, and Kegalle district is 152.

Likewise, the cut-off mark of the Tamil district is 149. 

And the cut-off mark of 148 has been declared for the states such as Hambantota and Ratnapura, and 146 cut-off marks for the Puttalam, Anuradhapura, and Polonnaruwa, Badulla, and Monaragala Districts.

Every state and district has different cut-off marks. For instance, the Ampara, Trincomalee, and Nuwara Eliya districts of the Sinhala medium if 145. On the other hand, the Vavuniya district cut-off mark for the Sinhala Medium is 142.
