In this Role the Technical Advisor Exercises Initiative, Judgement & Discretion When Working With Division & Branch Staff Other Govt Departments, a Board Range Of Industry Partners, National Standards Development Organizations & Representative Of Other Provincial / Territorial Governments.
Responsibilities
Duty Officer: Provide Consistent Interpretation in Response to Requests for Technical Information Related to the Alberta Private Sewage Systems Standard Of Practice and Regulations Enforced in Alberta.
Participate in the Resolution of Issues and Complaints Make Recommendations Regarding Compliance / Enforcement
Respond to Assigned FOIP Requests
Respond to Assigned Action Requests
Legislation & Code Development
Participate in the Research & Development of Provincial Codes & National Standards.
Participate in the Development Of Legislation & Policy.
Promote Compliance Under the Safety Codes Act
Monitor the Delivery Of Safety Services With the Private Sewage Discipline
Provide Support to the Alberta Safety Codes Authority on Issues Related to the Private Sewage Discipline
As A Subject Matter Expert, Provide Technical Advice to the Safety Codes Council, Private Sewage Sub-Council & Appeals Tribunal.
Mentorship
Provide Support Related to Code Interpretations to Accredited Agencies
Provide Support Related to Code Interpretations to Certified Installers.
Administration
Complete Employee Performance Planning & Appraisal Processes.
Maintain Records in Accordance With Records Management Protocols
Participate in the Preparation Of Reports to Communicate Program Performance.
