Establishment of the Ethiopian Civil Service University
ECSU Was Established in 1995 to Support the Transformation Drive of the Ethiopian Civil Service Within the Context of the Country’s Development Policies & Strategies So that it becomes a System that is Effective, Transparent, Accountable, Learning and Changing.
The University Has Been Established through a Council of Ministers Regulation No 3 of 1996 as an autonomous higher education institution Focusing on Building the Capacities of the Country’s Civil Service.

The Ethiopian Civil Service University Started Operation in 1995 But Was Formally Established in February 1996 as an autonomous institution with legal status by the council of minister regulation no 3/1996. Since Establishment, the University Has Contributed Immensely in Developing the Capacity of the Ethiopian Civil Service University through Education & Training.
