Welfare Benefits Board Sri Lanka has officially released the Aswesuma Welfare name list 2026 for Second phase eligible families, published in April 2026. Aswesuma -II List of eligible families 2026 can be downloaded from its official portal, eservices.wbb.gov.lk/aswesuma/2026. Hence, these lists are scheduled to be made public in the Divisional Secretariats and Government offices at the village level. President Sri Lanka said that more than 400,000 more families will be given Aswesuma benefits from June onwards.

Furthermore, from April 2026, the government increased the monthly elderly allowance from Rs. 3,000 to 5,000 as proposed in the national budget. The Welfare Benefits Board confirmed that this revised allowance will also be extended to senior citizens within Awesuma beneficiary families. Hence, the board stated that the relief allowances can be obtained by beneficiaries from their banks.

Currently, 1.38 million families are receiving Aswesuma welfare benefits. Aswesuma granted to 400,000 more families.
