The Number of Students and Teachers Has Risen to About 37018 & 1992 Respectively. The Main Purpose Of the University Was to Create New Areas Of Knowledge & Disseminate this Knowledge to the Society through Its Students. Just After the Creation Of Bangladesh, the Government Proclaimed the University of Dhaka Order, 1973 Whereby Democratic Norms and Autonomy Became Integral Features Of the Institution.
