Social Pension program for Indigent Senior Citizens. The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) reiterated that only poor, sickly, or disabled senior Citizens without any form or pension, family support, or steady income are qualified to receive assistance under the agency’s Social Pension for Indigent Senior Citizens Program (SocPen). As per the latest update, a total of 177,863 beneficiaries of the DSWD Senior Citizen pension received. As of this quarter, 96.30% of the target beneficiaries under DSWD field office Carags Socpen program have already claimed their PHP 3,000 stipend each, amounting to a total disbursement of PHP 533,589,0000.

Under the DSWD Social Pension program, qualified grandparents will now receive their services from January to June 2025.

The Manual Payout is schedule from July 01 to July 18, 2025 and will be administered by the DSWD -National Capital Region.

DSWD Senior Citizens Pension Application Requirements

For beneficiaries, make sure to bring the following documents on the day of the payout. if the senior citizen cannot come in person, an authorized representative may be sent, as long as they bring

• Letter of Authorization
• Valid ID of the Representative
• Valid ID of the beneficiary.
• Social pension application form. (This form is available from the DSWD or the office of the Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA).
• Medical Certificate of the beneficiary with PRC license number
• The latest picture of a senior citizen holding a calendar.

DSWD Social Pension Program Application Requirements

For ABLE Senior citizen Beneficiary: Original and photocopy of OSCA SC ID with 3 signature specimens.

Authorizes Representative of a Deceased Beneficiary (Beneficiary passed away between January 1, 2025, up to present):

• Photocopy of the Deceased OSCA SC ID
• Original/Certified true copy of Death Certificate
• Original and photocopy ID of the Authorized representative.
• Warranty of release from liability form (c/o OSCA Staff).

DSWD Senior Citizen Application 2025 Eligibility

Age: Must be 60 years old and above

Physical condition: Must be frail, sickly or have a disability.

Income: must not have a regular pension from SSS, GSIS, PVAO, or other government or Private institutions.

Support: must not have a permanent source of income, compensation, or financial assistance from a relative to support basic needs.

The Social Pension program provides a monthly stipend of PHP 3,000.00 to eligible Indigent Senior citizens to help with their daily needs and medical expenses.

The DSWD conducts an assessment and validation process to determine eligibility.
