Despite the prevailing economic challenges that continue to weigh heavily on resourcing, mobilisation, and the conduct of recruitment under the mobile recruitment platform, the BDF Recruitment and Selection Office commenced the recruitment of potential candidates for the posts of Officer Cadets, Special Entrant Officer Cadets, and Recruit Privates on the 10th of October, 2025.

Following the conduct of the preliminary screening and advanced stages of the recruitment and selection process, the following shortlisted candidates are to report for the final stage in Mogoditshane, Sir Seretse Khama Barracks (Small Gate) as per the given dates and timings. Successful candidates during this phase qualify for further screening in subsequent stages of the process, namely, the physical medical examination and the aptitude test.

Botswana Defence Force Shortlisted Candidates Training for 2025/2026
Successful candidates shall undergo a requisite Officer Cadet Training and a 4-year Military degree programme in the United States of America at the prestigious Air Force Academy and US Military Academy (West Point). Upon completion of training, officers must be ready to serve in various geographic locations and under diverse environmental conditions. Attach certified copies of relevant educational certificates/documents, transcripts,s and National Identity Card (Omang). CV and references must be attached and forwarded to the link below:
