The Sri Lanka Welfare Benefits Board has released the list of eligible candidates to receive payments under the second phase of Aswesuma. The Relevant New Aswesuma name list for July 2025 has been displayed on the notice boards of all divisional Secretariats’ offices. and at the offices of the Grama Niladhari and the officers in charge. Welfare Benefits Board Sri Lanka, officially uploaded the Aswesuma-II Second phase name list 2025 on 02 July 2025.
Additionally, those who have submitted appeals and objections and are waiting for final approval for eligibility will also be entitled to receive their benefits. Once investigations confirm their qualifications.

Selected list of aswesuma-II (stage II) Published. However, Objections and appeals should be submitted before 16-07-2025. Applicants who have not yet been Selected for the program will receive payments once their eligibility is confirmed.
A Gazette Notification has been issued for monthly welfare amounts to be paid to Aswesuma welfare beneficiaries in 2025. previous 2024 aswesuma welfare payment scheme has been rescined.

no.24 of 2002, the official announcement regarding the publication of the list of eligible beneficiaries for the payment of welfare benefits and inviting claims and objections to the names included in the said lists.

Poor: Rs.10,000 per month (January-June)
Vulnerable: Rs.5,000 per month (January-December)
