HELSB GRZ Loans 2025/2026 University Zambia: HELSB { Higher Education Loans and Scholarships Board }. Applications are Invited from Suitably Qualified Zambians that meet the minimum requirements outlined here below to apply for undergraduate GRZ Student loans for the 2025-2026 Academic Year At the University of Zambia.
The Levels of Support Available for Application are Categorized as follows; 100%, 75%, 50%, 25%
Application Submission Process
- An Application Letter Responding to the Advertisement
- A Photocopy of the 2025/2026 academic year admission letter from the University of Zambia
- A Photocopy of Grade 12 Statement of Results Or Certificate
- A Photocopy of the Candidates NRC and Parents / Guardian’s NRC
- One Passport size photo
- Application will be done online on https//portal.helsb.gov.zm/
Eligibility Criteria
- Zambian With Green National Registration Card { NRC }
- School Leavers admitted to the university of Zambia for the 2025/2026
- Academic Year
- School Leavers Who Completed Grade 12 in 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024
- 26 years old Or Below by January 2026

The Loans are Limited and Scaled Down According to the Level of Support Required. Candidates Should therefore, indicate in their application the level of loan required. However, the Higher Education Loans and Scholarships Board Reserves the Right to Determine the Actual Level of the Lona. Loans are Awarded According to the Board’s Financial Capacity and therefore Admission into the University Does not Necessarily Guarantee the Applicant a GRZ Student Loan. Applicants are, However advised to Submit Any Documents that Support their application.
Student Allowances are Payable Across all levels of Support. Applicants are therefore encouraged to apply for support according to level of vulnerability with necessary proof attached.
