Inburgering Exams Under the 2021 Act
Under the 2021 act, there are 3 Learning Tracks for Civin Integration:
The B1 Track: is geared towards language learning and work (paid or voluntary). You will speak and write Dutch at the B1 level within a maximum of 3 years. At the same time, you will be able to participate in society through paid employment or voluntary work. This track offers the possibility to scale down to the A2 level.
The Education Track: is specially designed for young people. You will learn Dutch to B1 level or higher. This track will also prepare you to take a study program at secondary vocational education (MBO), higher vocational education (HBO), or university.
The Self-reliance Track: Designed for people who are required to complete a civic integration process and for whom the education and B1 tracks are too challenging. In this case, you will learn Dutch at a lower level (A1). You will take a more practical and straightforward path to participation in Dutch society. You will have the opportunity to take exams, but they are not compulsory.
